Creating a Comprehensive Community Action Plan

Sponsored by the California Community Action Partnership Association (CalCAPA) | Presented by the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) & the California Department of Community Services & Development (CSD)

A Community Action Plan should be a CAA’s roadmap for success. This training will provide the process for creating a Community Action Plan and valuable tips on making the Community Action Plan a living document used by all staff. Key components of the Community Action Plan such as the Community Needs Assessment process, ROMA and the CSBG Organizational Standards will be covered. Templates and resources to implement and use in the community needs assessment process will be provided.

This Training is a Must for:

Management and program staff from California’s Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) eligible entities that are responsible for conducting a comprehensive community needs assessment and completing the new 2015/16 Community Action Plan (CAP).

You will Learn:

·         a working knowledge of how to create a comprehensive CAP

·         a step-by-step methodology to conducting a community needs assessment

·         how to utilize ROMA Next Generation when developing a CAP
